Podiatrist Vs Chiropodist

I get asked all the time, "what is the difference between a Podiatrist and a Chiropodist?"

My response? "There isn't much of a difference"

Years ago, the foot specialists were known as Chiropodists. As time rolled by, the practice evolved & the training pathway standardised. It was then decided to adopt the American term of Podiatrist.  Podiatrist is a protected title so only those with the correct qualifications and registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) are able to use it.

What does a Podiatrist do?

We do everything regarding feet. From cutting toe nails, to biomechanical assessments, to nail surgery.  Visit for more info.

But my feet don't hurt. Do I still need to see a Podiatrist?

A lot of my clients don't have painful feet.  Some are just unable to manage cutting their own nails.  Others develop hard skin / callus which I can remove safely & effectively.  And some do get discomfort if they don't attend on a regular basis.  The vast majority of my clients come to see me for general maintenance of their feet which can help them look & feel great.
If you do have pain in your feet, it is important to seek a professional opinion. Don't suffer with your feet! I can be found within Roberta Beauty Redefined in the centre of knutsford
